The trailer for Back to the Future 4 begins with the familiar, iconic ticking of a clock, immediately pulling audiences back into the beloved world of time travel. The screen is dark except for the glowing numbers of a digital clock counting down to zero. As the countdown reaches its end, the camera cuts to a sunlit suburban street, instantly recognizable as the Hill Valley of the present day.

We see Marty McFly’s son, Alex McFly (Tom Holland), rushing down the sidewalk on a skateboard, mirroring his father’s youthful energy and charisma. He arrives at Doc Brown’s old garage, now converted into a workshop filled with futuristic gadgets and old-school inventions. The upbeat and familiar Back to the Future theme music begins to play softly in the background.

Alex looks at a dusty old photograph of his father and Doc Brown, and his voiceover begins: “My dad always told me… time is a gift and a curse.” His voice trails off as he discovers a hidden compartment in the garage and pulls out a mysterious new device — a sleek, updated version of the time-traveling DeLorean’s flux capacitor. The camera zooms in on the device as it sparks to life, humming with energy.

The trailer cuts to a montage of quick, exciting flashes: the new DeLorean, now more advanced and aerodynamic, speeding down a familiar street; Doc Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd, reprising his iconic role) appearing with a surprised expression, exclaiming, “Great Scott! We’re going back… again!” as lightning crackles around him.

Scenes of chaos and adventure unfold as Alex accidentally triggers the DeLorean and is sent hurtling through time. The music swells with excitement as we witness him arriving in various eras: the roaring 1920s, a neon-lit 1980s alternate timeline, and even a high-tech future that seems oddly familiar yet distinctly different from what his father saw. Each time jump is marked by comical and thrilling encounters with new characters and challenges.

The trailer teases the return of familiar faces: Lorraine McFly (Lea Thompson) and a brief, humorous appearance of an older Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox), who gives Alex some much-needed advice: “Whatever you do… don’t talk to your past self. Trust me, it never ends well.”

A new antagonist emerges — a powerful and wealthy figure from the future (played by a renowned actor) with a hidden agenda to control time itself. We see flashes of confrontations, futuristic chases, and a high-stakes race against the clock to prevent an irreversible paradox from tearing the fabric of time apart.

The final moments of the trailer show Alex and Doc in the new DeLorean, racing towards a bolt of lightning at 88 miles per hour. Doc yells, “Hold on, kid! It’s gonna be a bumpy ride!” The screen flashes with a burst of light, and then cuts to black.

The title card appears: Back to the Future 4. The trailer ends with the tagline: “The future is now… again – Coming 2024.”

The last sound is a burst of the classic DeLorean time-travel sound, followed by Doc Brown’s iconic exclamation: “This is heavy!” leaving the audience with a nostalgic and thrilling sense of anticipation.
